Christmas is coming people.
My hope for you is that after you have read all this info about cancer, you are more aware of this horrible disease--> Cancer. Cancer is basically a disease that divides your cells. Those divided cells grow multiplying the amount of your cells creating an over-growth. Sometimes the bumps are visible to the eye depending what it is and how serious.
Did you know that, there are over a hundred different types of cancers? Also, cancer can affect any part of the body. Most types of cancers have 4 stages. Over 2 million people are diagnosed with skin cancer. About 77% of people who get cancer are about 55 years or older. The most popular cancers for males are: Lung, Prostate and bowel cancer. The most popular cancers for Females are: lung, breast and bowel cancer. Cancer is actually fascinating but very dangerous.
There are very limited ways of preventing chances of cancer. Some ways of preventing cancer are changing life style like avoiding smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol comsumption (I prefer to never have alcohol and if you did just stop drinking), get moving everyday, stay safe in the sun (one example is that you put on sunscreen), stop using tobacco, have blood screening and/or serum screeing and/or any other screening that needs to happen and one of the most important ones, talking to your doctor if you think or see and/or feel any symptoms. Smoking doesn't have to cause cancer necessarily but when there is no cancer that doesn't mean that it can't cause death. It can stop you breathing after a time. So please be carefull about smoking because it isn't cool, it is a little stick type thing that can wreck your lungs and stop your breathing.
Alcohol is a very extreme drug that not only effects if you get cancer but also effects sleep. In sleep you wake up more times in the night. Alcohol can also effect eyesight. There was an activity for you to learn about the brain at a hopital in Canada, there were glasses that showed what a drunk person would see. It was was very hard to see stuff. Alcohol only makes life worse. You can't drive, you don't get good sleep, and cancer. So please stop Drinking.
